We are KOBAKANT and our motivation to host this discussion in our public/private shop space is to reflect on the role of our KOBA art project/tailor shop as part of a local community. We use our shopfront setting to make our craft accessible to people at street level. Anybody can peer through our windows to observe us at work tailoring circuits for custom commissions. Our prices are low, to make our offer affordable. We’re not in the business of making money, rather of imagining an alternative way of creating technology.
